Toasted Chia Seeds
This is a way of making toasted chia seeds in a pan on the stove. There is also a variation in the notes if you prefer to bake them in the oven.

- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- Pinch of salt
Preheat a dry pan over medium heat.
Add the chia seeds and stir occasionally until they are lightly browned and fragrant, usually 3-5 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the toasted chia seeds to a bowl.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the toasted chia seeds and stir to combine.
Allow the toasted chia seeds to cool completely before using.
You can also toast chia seeds in the oven by spreading them out on a baking sheet and baking them at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, or until they are lightly browned.
Toasted chia seeds can be used in a variety of ways, including:
- Sprinkling on top of oatmeal or yogurt for added crunch and texture
- Adding to baked goods like muffins, bread, and granola
- Mixing into smoothies for added protein and fiber
- Topping salads for a nutritious boost
