Almond Milk with Dates

Almond milk with dates is a delicious and nutritious beverage that combines the rich, nutty flavor of almonds with the sweet, caramel-like taste of dates. This dairy-free and vegan-friendly drink is a great alternative to traditional dairy milk and can be enjoyed as a healthy snack or as part of a balanced breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup raw almonds (if prefered you can be pre-made almond milk instead of using almonds to make)
  • 4 cups water
  • 5 pitted dates
  • Pinch of salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Soak the almonds in water overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  • Drain and rinse the almonds.
  • Add the almonds and 4 cups of water to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the pitted dates to the blender and blend again until the dates are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  • If desired, add a pinch of salt to taste.
  • Place a nut milk bag or cheesecloth over a large bowl and pour the almond milk mixture into it.
  • Squeeze the bag or cloth to remove as much liquid as possible.
  • Pour the almond milk into a jar or bottle and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • Shake well before serving.

Notes

This recipe makes approximately 4 cups of almond milk with dates. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or fewer dates to the blender. You can also add other flavorings, such as vanilla extract or cinnamon, for an extra kick of flavor.
If you prefer to not make your own almond milk, you can use store-bought almond milk and start instead at step 4.
